Change of venue and date
Call to order : 10:15 am
Attendance : Lynn Lewinski, Nancy Butler, Anne Kantola, Jacki Rubin and our interim City Manager,
Gene Drabinski.
Minutes : Not available for meeting.
Director's Report :
Budget and Stats : Pending review.
Staff : The Staff is working well filling in for vacations and keeping up with programs.
Friend's Report : The Friend's are gearing up for the annual Labor Day book sale. Nancy is excited that
the on-line book sales continue to do so well, better than the Festival of Trees. An interesting.
fundraising point to consider.
Old Business
Policy manual: The Board needs to meet and approve this at next month's meeting.
ILL: It seems that fines are not charged on library to library materials that are overdue,
so we will leave this to the discretion of the Librarian.
Computer: This needs attention at next month's meeting.
Book Bags: Anne is still finishing the library collection digital entry before sending off books in
bags.
Painting : There are two bids under 10K for siding replacement and painting. There was
discussion about why we are spending money on a building that should be replaced. Discussion will
continue.
New Business :
Summer Reading Report: Fabulous programs and fantastic participation this year, each season
seems better than the last. A report will be compiled about summer attendance and the comparison of
whether visitor numbers support the added hours the library was open.
ICfL Volunteer Project: An idea from the Idaho Commissions of State Libraries to train volunteers
is being organized by Robyn. This could be a very helpful program to get special projects done.
Lazerfiche Project: There should be a digitized archival created to ensure keeping precious
documents. Volunteers may be used, until that time second copies should be moved to the safe at City
Hall.
Member Replacement: To be discussed at the next meeting.
New City Manager Report: We all enjoyed meeting and visiting with Gene Drabinski, our interim
City Manager. Thank you and good luck! Please come back and let us know how it all went.
Loose ends: The McCall Film Group is presenting its Summer Festival and thanks us for our
support as we wish them further success.
Adjournment : 11:45 am
Our next meeting is to be scheduled via a mail. We have to attend to several issues at that time.
