AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE CREATION OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE
PLANNING COMMISSION AND PRESCRIBING THE MEMBERS THEREOF, AMENDING
SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. II AND REPEALING THAT SECTION.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE:
Sec t ion l.
read as follows:
Section 2 of Ordinance No.~is hereby amended to
Section 2. MEMBERSHIP, VACANCIES, COMPENSATION. The City Planning
Commission shall consist of eight (8) electors of which number, two (2)
members shall reside outside of but within three (3) miles of the corporate
limits of the City of Bel Aire, but the remaining members shall be residents
of the City, to be appointed by the Mayor by and with the consent of the
Council. The members of the Commission first appointed shall serve respec-
tively for terms of one(l) year, two (2) years and three (3) years, divided
equally or as nearly equal as possible between these terms. Thereafter
members shall be appointed for terms of three (3) years each. Vacancies
shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term only. Members of the
Commission shall serve without compensation for their services. (K.S.A.
Supp. 12-702).
Section 2. All other sections of Ordinance No. 11 shall remain the
same and are in full force and effect.
Section 3.
Section 2 of Ordinance No.~is hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its publication
in the official city publication.
