McCall Library Board Meeting
January 6, 2000
4:00 p.m.
I. Call To Order: Called to order 4:10 p.m. eh
II. Attendance: Ed Hershgold, Ed Hershbrger, Mary Clemmer, Gloria Cantrell,
Susie Reddick and Marilyn Summers.
III. Minutes: May and October minutes read and approved.
IV. Bills: Have been approved.
V. Staff Report: Gloria will be going to Boise Tuesday Jan 11 to the Bill and
Melinda Gates Foundation workshop to apply for computer
internet workstations. She will also be going to Boise January 14
to a SIRLS meeting.
VI. Old Business:
A. Back Room. Open House in our new Idaho History Room January 28 at 2:00
p.m. Things are looking great.
B. Vacancies/Appointments. Ed Hershgold was appointed to fill a 5 year term and Ed
Hershberger to fill a 1 year term.
C. Time Capsule. We had a great crowd and will bury as soon as we receive the
brass id cover.
D. Y2K. No problems.
E. Friends. $550 for children's and $584 for Idaho History Room Carpet.
F. Computers. Arcadian Systems will be helping with our new computers.
G. Maintenance. New man hired.
H. Expansion Meeting. Meeting January 13 at 1:00 p.m.
VII. New Business:
A. Sue Ann. The Library board excepted Sue Ann's resignation do to illness.
B. JJ Warren. Computer whiz helping the library as a volunteer. He is from the
U of I.
C. Holiday Program. 26 children were present and we all had a great time.
D. Puppet Show/Book Sale/Winter Carnival. Friends annual Book Sale Starts January 28ch
E. Friends/Festival of Trees. Very successful with lots more trees and more visitors.
F. Officers 2000. Susie Reddick Secretary, Mary Clemmer Chairperson for 2000.
G. Policy updates. Each board member has copy of policies and was ask to review
and edit. And bring to next board meeting set for February 17`h
