MEMORANDUM TO: Mr. Alejandro Miranda Boylston Properties 800 Boylston Street, Suite 1390 Boston, MA 02199 DATE: March 29, 2018 SUBJECT: Nichols Avenue Queues Watertown, Massachusetts FROM: Mr. F. Giles Ham, P.E. i Vanasse & Associates, Inc. 35 New England Business Center Drive Suite 140 Andover, MA 01810-1066 (978) 474-8800 RE: 6882 As requested, Vanasse & Associates, Inc. (VAI) has reviewed Nichols Avenue queues as they relate to the proposed Loading -Only driveway. The driveway is located approximately 115 feet setback from Arlington Street with adequate sight distances for safe operation. With respect to vehicle queues, the morning peak hour queues will block the driveway, as Nichols Avenue accommodates cut -through peak hour traffic. During the afternoon peak and the remainder of the day, the average queue is expected to be four (4) vehicles or less. It is recommended that delivery vehicles be restricted to outside the morning peak and during the afternoon school -release period. The proposed loading driveway will have a minimal impact on the traffic operations in the area. G:16882 Watertown1Memos\A Miranda 032918.docx i
