McCall Public Library
Board Meeting
October 15th, 1998
4.00p.m.
Call To Order:
II. Attendance: Marilyn Summers, Clyde Archer, Tracy Baker, Susie Reddick
Gloria Cantrell.
III. Minutes: Read and approved.
IV. Bills: Approved.
V. Staff Report: Circulation down drastically on Saturdays.
Gloria will send City Council members invitations to be judges
for the Festival of Trees a Friends of the Library r ser.This
money will go towards library enkff s.en. •A. 0} 2
VI. Old Business:
A. Rob Lucas Noted bookbinder gave a 2 1/2 hr workshop on book repair.
A very successful presentation.
B. illnesses. Gloria noted that Becky lost her Mother, that Marge had
back surgery, Catherine and Mary Jane have been very sick
Sue Ann has had some set backs and her Mom had a
heart attack, certainly next month will be better.
C. Internet Policies/Payette Meeting.
Gloria has updated our Internet Policy. She presented copies of
several other library policies and suggested we may want to use
some of their ideas.
D. Gwen Kimbell Gwen stopped in and gave us a copy 2 of a book she suggested
we should own.
E. Library Vacancy. Clyde Archer made the motion that Marilyn Summers fill
the Library Board vacancy and Susie Reddick seconded. Seeing as
there were no applicants Marilyn agreed to fill the vacancy.
VII. New Business:
A. Festival of Trees. This is a fund raiser for library
B. Memorial Fund. A Memorial Fund in memory of Edrie Jeffries has been set
up at the Library. This money will go to purchase Idaho History
Books.
C. Winter Programs Our First Travelogue will be November 5th (Smaller,
undisturbed ruins of the Anasazi ).
D. Back Room. We will probably be able to start work on the new reference
room late February.
