Board Meeting
October 30, 1997
4.00p.m.
I: Call To Order:
II. Attendance: Clyde Archer, Tracy Baker, Mary
Clemmer, Susie Reddick, Marilyn
Summers, and Gloria Cantrell.
III. Minutes: Approved as read.
IV. Bills: Signed and approved.
V. Staff Report: Weekly circulation down, Saturdays
fir up.
VI. Old Business:
A. Vacancy. The library board ask Gloria to send
letter to City Council suggesting the
appointment of Susie Reddick to
Library Board, no other written
applications where submitted.
B. WICAP. First books have been distributed.
C. Friends/Funds. A rug, puzzles, atlases and globes
have been purchased for the Library
by the Friends of the Library.
D. Evaluation/Letter. Gloria discussed her evaluation
with library.
E. Susan B. Anthony. A very successful program co-
sponsored by AAUW.

VII. New Business:
A. Staff. Gloria talked about Becky and Sue
Aim's illnesses.
B. Armchair Travelogue. First program November 6,
7p.m.(Galapagos/Ecuador)
C. Christmas Program. Set for December 18, 7p.m.
it will be a puppet festival.
D. Scanner/Computer/Web page. Gloria would like to
use the Peterson Memorial to
purchase a scanner and new printer,
also set up a library web page. Gloria
was ask to bring back more
information to Nov. board meeting.
E. Large Print. Gloria ask to spend $1000.00 out of
Memorial money to purchase large
print books. Marilyn moved to spend
$1000. and Mary seconded.
