Board Meeting
March 20, 1997
4:00p.m.
I: Call To Order:
II. Attendance: Tracy Baker
Clyde Archer
Mary Clemmer
Marilyn Summers
Susie Reddick
Gloria Cantrell
III. Minutes: Read and approved.
IV. Bills: Approved.
V. Staff Report: Circulation up, doubled on Saturdays.
VII. Old Business:
A. Book Club. Going well 10 members day group.
7 members evening group.
B. Log Cabin. February program went well.
C. Grant/Barnes & Noble. Will purchase LP books and
books on tape for carts.
D. Friends/Walker. Program went well with 85 people
attending.
F. Computers. We need to get these ordered.
Gloria has been working with Micron with no luck
and is now working with Alpha Omega.
VIII. New Business:
A. Friends Yard Sale. Date set for April 19.
B. Job Description. Jim revised job descriptions for
library staff and Board reviewed and made
suggestions.

C. Friends slide presentation by Paul Acheson/John
Riggs. Possible programs for April. Not finalized
yet.
1). Page. Gloria gave resumes to Board to review and
make appointment. Board and Gloira decided to
make 2 positions available just splitting up the
hours. Gloria will discuss with Jim. There were
12 applicants.
H. Scouts. Gave library 200 books for book sale.
F. Ducks Unlimited. Gave library 15 videos.
