McCall Public Library
Regular Meeting
May 18, 1995
4:00 p.m.
1. Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by ChairmanrSusie Reddick.
2. Attendance: ChairmanrSusie Reddick, Marilyn Summers, Clyde Archer,
Mary Clemmer and Faye Kerr, and Gloria Cantrell Staff Member
3. Minutes: Approved.
4. Bills: Approved.
5. Staff Report: Circulation was down 3 books per day for the month of April.
Gloria is looking at used conference furniture for the
meeting room, she will order a table now and check on some
chairs.
6. Old Business:
A. Garage Saler$370.00 from Friends will be used for
Childrens books.
B. Parking/WalksrPoor access; parking is very limited at
the Library. The walks are very bad in the winter as
the ice builds up on them, the board talked this over
with Gary Shimun who was in attendance at this meeting
of the Library Board, he said that their doesn't seem
to be a solution at this time.
C. Evaluation/Gary ShimunrGloria's salary was discussed
with Gary Shimun, he said a new evaluation needed to
be done by June 1st, the evaluation done in November
1994 needed to be on a special evaluation form, but
will be used if a new goals and objectives report is
given to the city immediately.
D. Wilder WorkshoprGloria attended this last Friday,
workshop was on circulation policies. McCall Public
Library has the 3rd most hrs oh internet.
E. Building exteriorrBuilding will be painted on Monday
if the weather holds.
7. New Business: A. Summer ReadingrProgram starts June the 6th, from
10 to 11 A.M. every Tuesday. Scheduled events are;
Mountain Man, SnowdenrCaretaker of Animals, Puppet
Show, and Crafts, the theme is "Around the World".
B. InternetvLast workshop will be held Tuesday at B.S.U.
Gloria will attend and possibly Mary Boone.
C. May/SaturdaysrThe 1st Saturday was slow,'2nd was better.
Sign in sheet showed people were interested in the
Saturday opening.
