McCall Public Library
Regular Meeting
March 9, 1995
4:00 P.M.
1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 4:00 P.M.
March 9, 1995.
2. Roll Call: Chairman Susie Reddick, Marilyn Summers, Faye Kerr and
Staff Member Gloria Cantrell.
3. Minutes: Approved.
4. Bills: Approved.
5. Staff Report: Total circulation for January 1995 was 5,021, total
circulation for February 1995 was 4,567.
6. Old Business: A. Legislative Day. -Very successful, Gary Shimun was
very supportive for next year, the program was for
library support for grants.
B. Internet.quesday night online with E-Mail or research.
C. Book Sale -Friends of the Library sale netted $300.00,
they want to purchase small center for computer and
two chairs.
D. Satelitte Program-Trustees,Program went very well,
interesting to all attending.
E. Arts & Humanities Grant Workshop. -Gloria was the only
one who attended.
F. Phoebe Hershenow-Letter thanking Library for the use
of room for meetings on parenting.
G. Puppet Workshop -Pat Zenzic-18 children signed up, this
was held March 2, went well.
7. New Business: A. Book Reviews,Idaho Tough Paradise,Going well, their
were 8 in attendance at the last review, one review
left which will be on poetry.
B. Disabilities Act.-Cop”These copies were handed out at
the meeting and reviewed.
C. Rural Library Meeting -Garden City March lO,-Gloria will
attend and report back at the next board meeting.
D. Raises -A letter of support for Gloria will be written
and given to Gary Shimun.
E. Hours -Susie -More hours when library opens Saturdays
in May for a trial period. Hours would be from 12 to 4.
F. GED-Betsy Sifick/Boise Unemployment Office -Money was
found for Betsy to teach classes, she will recruit and
train volunteers.
G. Internet Teleconference -This will be held at the library
not sure what it will cover, on March 24, 11:30 A.M.
H. Internet Workshop BSU, March 21, 9:00 A.M., Gloria and
maybe SueAnn will attend, this is a hands on training
workshop.
