HomeMy Public PortalAbout1994.11.10 LBT MinutesMINUTES OF McCALL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING --November 10, 1994, 4:00 P.M. ATTENDANCE -Susie Reddick, Clyde Archer, Faye Kerr, Mary Clemmer, Marilyn Summers and Gloria Cantrell. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman, Mary Clemmer MINUTES: Read and approved. BILLS: Bills approved. STAFF REPORT: Back room coming along nicely. Patricia Winnstrome was hired as page to help at the library, she is a senior at McCall -Donnelly High School. OLD BUSINESS: Budget -Copy machine and typewriter are ordered, money should be available. Talks being held on family insurance, which will affect budget. Display -Pat Gore will display some of her antique dolls during the holidays. Other names came up for future displays. Floyd Loomis -Floyd will have a book signing at the Public Library on November 12th at 7:00 P.M.. Blue Grouse Books will share profits with the library on books sold that evening. Arts & Humanities Council -Gloria was appointed to council, this will be very informative for the library. Board Appointments -New board members are Susie Reddick and Dr. Clyde Archer. Susie Reddick was elected Chairman and Faye Kerr as Secretary for the coming year. NEW BUSINESS: Arthur Hart -Arthur Hart will be at the Library on November 18th at 7:00 P.M. for a photographic presentation on barns in Idaho. Satellite Grant-$6,000.00 grant should be in by February, T.V. set in already. Training for trustees will be available soon. Internet Grant -Educational Technical Grant, computer hooked up to telephone patrons will be able to order by book or page. The state will pay for 100 hours of time. Working with Genises in McCall. Will have cost Nov. 18th. Data Link will be in the future of library. Friends -Membership going well with 128 members. $1,600.00 raised New typewriters/computers-New computer ordered, windows will be open to community. Typewriters also in the budget. Copy Machine -New machine arrived not in operating condition, Gloria refusec to accept it, will be delay in getting copy machine. Old machine not in working condition. Vocational Testing -Man will pay for damages he caused while working on test in back room. Gloria will write letter to him encouraging him to use the library. Long Range Plan -Update -Revision to Long Range Plan Goal 7. Circulation -Circulation was up. ADJOURNED: 5:10 P.M. Submitted by Secretary Faye Kerr
