MCCALL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING
SEPTEMBER 21, 1993
9:00 a.m.
Gold Course Club House
I. ATTENDANCE: Janzi Frandin
Marilyn Summers
Mary Clemmer
Gloria Cantrell
II. CALL TO ORDER:
III. MINUTES: Read and Approved.
IV. BILLS: Approved.
V. STAFF REPORT: Gloria discussed the success of the summer
reading program.
VI. OLD BUSINESS
VII. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Cascade/McCall have applied for a resource
sharing grant that will enable them to share
reference materials.
B. The Friends of the Library have kicked off
a membership drive and a logo contest.
C. Rio Vista and Carrico are now part of the
city and fees will vary next year.
D. The American Doll Series was on display in
June and was enjoyed by young and old. We
also had a shell display. Gloria also talked
to Patti White about the Arts and Humanities
using the display case.
E. The Back room is finished and has become a
great conference room.
A. Gloria distributed the new library laws
emphasizing the open meeting law.
B. Gloria presented the Libraries long
Range Plan that has been excepted by the
State.
C. A video on the Roles of the library Trustees
is available and trustees were ask to view.

D. Circulation was up & down during the
summer but overall up.
E. Gloria ask for vacation time & board approved.
Sept 23-Oct4.
H. Pat Zenzic has started a puppet making program
at the library and a Thanksgiving play will be
presented.
