ITUOUS, VINOUS, MALT, OR vilt71) LIGUOPS WITHIN TH7 CORPORATP,
LIMITS Or TRr CITY OP REAUMONT.
The Board of Trustees of the Gity of Beaumont, dO ordain
as follows:
Seo. 1. Any person, firm, or corporation that, within
the corporate limits of the Otty of Beaumont, establishes, keePs,
()Pens, maintains, or carries on a place where slArituoust vinous,
malt or mixed liquors or any intoxicating or alcoholic liqucrs
are sold, kept for sale, offered for sale, furniehec., (Istributed,
divided, delivered or given away, or that, within et,i4 city,
either as owner, mployee, ant, clerk. or otherwise, sells,
keeps for sale, furntdhest divides, delivers, or eleres away any
epirituous, vinous, malt, or mixed liquors, or any leoholio or
intoxicating' drinks, shall be deemed guilty of a miedemeanor.
Sec- 2. !very Person. having in his posseeeion, within
the Gity of Beeemont,
any spirituous, vinous, 'malt, or mixed
liquor, or any alcoholic or intoxicating drinks, ce bottles,
barrels, vessels or other articles with the intent eo use tee
same in violation of this Ordinance, hall be deeme(t guilty of a
misdemeanor; and all such liquors, bottlen, barrels, vessele, or
other erticlee in th9 poeeeeeion of mach person ehaLl be and here,
by are declared to be nuisances, and the Marshal shall have the
right, and it shall he his duty, to abate such nuisances, by seiz-
tng the same, and upon conviction of such person Of violating
this Ordinance, all such liquors shall be destroyed.
Sec. 3. 77,vorJ Person who lets or leases Lny building,
tenement, or place owned by him, or under his contaol, within the
corporate limits 0f the City of Beawriont, to be uscd, or permits
the same to be used, in violation of this Ordinance!, be
deemed_ FTIlty of a mindeveenor.
Sec. 4. )very Person rho shall advertise, solicit or
take orders within the City of Beaumont, for any Folirituoustvinous,

Trustees. Such Permits shall be p;rantel by the, sal.d Board of
Trustees for the sale of liquors for medicinal and sacramental
purposes only, and sales for medicinal purposes shn,11 be made only
upon the Prescription of a regular physician; Prow.ded however,
that Irugl'ints shall have th,e right to sell pars' unmixed alcohol
for mechanical nurposes, or to be used in the arts, Provided such
