The Board of Trustees of the city ofBeaii ont
as follows:
do ordain
Section 1. All elections in the city of "eatmonl, shallbe held
in accordance with the General election laws of thy State of
California,as far as the same may he made applicab-_e.
Section 2. On the second Monday in April, of eac1inu�ed.
year a general city election shall be held in the r,ty of
Beaumont for the purpose of electing city officers as provided
by law and for voting upon any matter or question i;hat may be
legally submitted at that time.
Section 3. At least two weeks and before the publication of
the notice of election,provided for in the next succeeding section
of this ordinance,the Board or Trustees of the cit:( of Beaumont
shall by resolution,establish;polling place .in each voting precinct
in said city and shall appoint officers to conduct said election
in each polling place.
Section 4. At least ten days prior ton'anyyAe1ect ion in said city
of Beaumont the Board of Trustees of said city sha 1.1 give notice
by One publication in some newspaper printed and published in
said city or by posting conspicuously in each of t ie election
precincts in said town,a notice of said election,signed by the
President of the Board of Trustees of said city and attested by
the City Clerk. Said notice shall specify the day of the election
The polling place for each election prec-inct,the nnies of the
officers that will conduct the election in each polling place
the hour of opening and closing the polls,the offices to be filled,
(naming and numbering the same in nuierical order) and any
proposition to be voted upon.
Section 5. Section 4.of this ordinance shall not apply to any
special election when a different manner of giving notice thereof
is provided by law authorizing the same.
Section 6. The Clerk of the city of Peaumont shill certify to
