AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE APPLICATION, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF
A GRANT FROM THE CHAMBERS FOUNDATION, INC.
WHEREAS, The Chambers Foundation, Inc. was established to provide grants,
services, and educational programs for senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Senior Community Center provides programs and services
for senior citizens in the Richmond community; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Senior Community Center desires to apply to The Chambers
Foundation, Inc. for a grant to purchase equipment, appliances, and supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The Richmond Senior Community Center is hereby authorized to apply for and
accept grant funding in the amount of One Thousand Nine Hundred Two Dollars and Seventy
Cents ($1,902.70) from The Chambers Foundation, Inc.
2. Said funds shall be appropriated for the purchase of equipment, appliances, and
supplies for the Richmond Senior Community Center.
