Section 1. Paragraph "2" of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 72,
of the C77 —of Beaunont, is hereb�T amended to read as follows:
2, For every vendor of fruits, vegetables or any other
connodity, havir7 a regular route and sellir7 and delivering
from a wagon, or whE;Ele a. Y?icle haver_^: no re7ular place of
business in the City, "'A.CO Ter quarter; ?provided that this
provisicr_ shall not amply to the vendor of fruits or venetables
prroi,l,n or produced by himself or herself and who shall so state
under oath if requested by the Clem-, Recorder or 1 arshal of
the City;
Sectior. 2. T -- new paragraphs are hereby added to Section
1 6-:7 r Zre Nunber 72 of the City of Beaumont, said new
paral*raphs to be nuribered 91 and 92 resrc)ctively, and to read
as follows:
91. For every automatic vend.inr machine requiring: to overate
the same a one cent coin, twenty-five cents per quarter;
92. For every automatic vendinm machine requiring to operate
the same a coin of the e value of five cents or more, or a slug
or either or both, ,'15.00 per quarter;
Section 3. An automatic vendin*, machine vwithin the meaning
of this ordinar_ce, is hereby defined to be a machine or con-
trivance from which - !erchardise or ary character is or -ay
Y_ e secured, and which required it tl'_e operation of the Fare
a derosit therein o' a coin or sluc, or either or both;
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passave
of thi. s orciznar_ce and shall cause the sa-e +.o be published
once in tl,e Gateway Gazette, a newspa -er of general circulation
published ar.d circulated in the City of Beaumont, and thirty
days after its adoption this ordinance shall be in full force
