THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT DO OR-
DAIN :AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1—Section 11 of Or-
dinance No. 130 of the City of
Beaumont, being an ordinance
Rrovidingl for the licetnsingl and
regulating of the carrying on of
certain professions, c a 1 I1 n g s
trades, and oeupations, is hereby
Amended to read as .follows:
SECTION II—For every per-
son, firm or corporation carrying
on the business of bill -posting,
sign advertising by means of
billboards or advertising sign
boards or electric signs, $6.00 per
quarter.
That nothing in this section
contained shall be deemed or con-
strued as applying t0 the owners
of real estate or their agent in
advertising their property for sale
or lease by means of billboards
or advertising sign -boards located
upon the property advertised for
sale or lease by such billboards
or advertising sign -boards.
The City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this
ordinance and cause the same to
be published at least three times
in the Beaumont Gazette, a news-
paper
of general circulation, pub-
lished, printed and circulated in
the City of Beaumont, and there-''
upon and thereafter it shall take
effeet and be in farce in the man-
ner provided by law.
Adopted this 21st day of Janu-
ary, 1982.

I hereby certify that the fore-
going ordinance, being Ordinance ,
No. 181 of the City of Beaumont,
was introduced and read at a reg-
ular meeting of the City Council
of said City on the 21st day of
January, 1982, and that said or-
dinance was thereafter duly
passed and adopted, signed by the
Mayor and attested by the Clerk
at a regular meeting of said City
Council and was passed by the fol-
lowing vote, to -wit:
Ayes—Councilmen Brown, Co-
nine, Samson and Cross.
Noes --Councilmen None.
