ORDINANCE NO.127
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE
OF LOT 2 IN BLOCK 8, THE NORTHERLY 34 FEET OF LOTS 1 and 12
IN BLOCK 6, THE NORTHERLY 34 FEET OF LOT 12 in BLOCK 7,
THE NORTHERLY 34 FEET OF LOT 12 IN BLOCK 6, ALL IN THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Sec. 1. WHEREAS public use, convenience and necessity
requires the opening of Sixth Street in Beaumont from California
Avenue to the Westerly city limits as a portion of the State
Highway of the State of California, and the City of Beaumont
has some right, title or interest in or to the property herein-
after described which is required as part of the right of way
for such state highway.
Sec. 2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized to execute and deliver a conveyance
of all the right, title and interest of the City of Beaumont
in and to the following described real property to the State of
California, to -wit: The Northerly 34 feet of Lots 1 and 12 in
Block 6; the Northerly 34 feet of Lot 12 in Block 7 and the
Northerly 34 feet of Lot 12 in Block 8 in the City of Beaumont,
County of Riverside, State of California, as shown on map on
file in Book 6, Pages 16 and 17 of Maps, records of San Bernardino
County, California.
Sec. 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized to execute and deliver conveyance of all
the right, title and interest of the City of Beaumont in and
to the following described property to R. W. Cowden and Dearie
Cowden in and to Lot 2 of Block 8 of the City of Beaumont, County
of Riverside, State of California, as shown on map on file in
Book 6, Pages 16 and 17 of Maps, records of San Bernardino County,
California, in consideration of the said R. W. Cowden and
Dearie Cowden conveying to the State of California all of the
Northerly 34 feet of Lot 1, Block 8, City of Beaumont, County
of Riverside, State of California, as shown on map on file in
Book 6, Pages 16 and 17 of Maps, Records of San Bernardino County,
California.
Sec. 4+. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance, shall cause the same to be published
once in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation
printed, published and circulated in the City of Beaumont, and
thirty days after adoption it shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted this 3 day of August, 1938.

CERTIFICATE OF CLERK
I, Bernice Conine, Clerk of the City of Beaumont, do
hereby certify the foregoing; to be a true and correct copy of
Ordinance No./.22__ of the City of Beaumont. That same was
introduced and read at the regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Beaumont held on July 27, 1938, and was duly
adopted and passed at a regular meeting of said City Council
held on the day of August 1938, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen
Noes: Councilmen
Absent: Councilmen
