AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DESIGNATING
CERTAIN STREETS AS "THROUGH HIGHWAYS" AND DESIGNATING CERTAIN
STREET INTERSECTIONS AS "STOP INTEESECTIONS"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EEAU1'ONT DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Each street in the City of Beaumont at
the entrance to which the City Council of the City of
Beaumont shall cause to be erected a "stop sign" as same
is defined by the laws of the State of California is herehx
designated as a "through highway" as same is defined by
the laws of the tate of California.
Section 2. Each street intersection in the City of
Beaumont at the entrances to which the City Council of the
City of Be 4 ont shall cause to be erected "stop signs"
as see are 'defined by the laws of the State of California
i:3 hereby designated as a "stop intersection" as same is
defined by the laws of the State of California.
Section 3. It shall be unlawful for any vehicle to
enter any "through highway" or "stop intersection" in the
City of Beaumont without first coming to a full atop.
Section +. Any violation of this ordinance is hereby
declared to be a misdemeanor, and any violation of this
ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than
v.00 or by imprisonment in the City Jail for not more
than 10 days, or by both push fine and imp risinrient .
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance, and cause it to be ;;published
once in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general cirou-
iation printed and published in the City of Beaumont, and
t� irty Jaya after adoption it ahall be in full force and
ef. ect .
