AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT A*ENDING
SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 166 REL'.TING TO FIRE ZONES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance Nos 166 of
the City of Beaumont, adopted the 25th day of November, 1936,
entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Beaumont Amending
Ordinance No. 154 of. the City of Beaumont relating to Fire
Zones, be and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 154
of the City of Beaumont, entitled "An Ordinance of the City of
Beaumont amending Ordinance No. 114.4 of the City of Beaumont"
be amended by changing the areas covered and included within
Fire Zone 1 and Fire Zone 2 as follows:
FIRE ZONE 1 shall include all the area bounded as
follows:
Commencing at a point on the easterly line of Wellwood
Avenue 150 feet northeasterly of the northerly line of West
Sixth Street;
Thence southeasterly parallel with and 150 feet north of
the northerly line of West Sixth Street to a point on the
easterly lineof California Avenue 150 feet north of the northerly
line of West Sixth Street;
Thence southerly along the easterly line of California
Avenue 30 feet;
Thence easterly parallel with and 120 feet north of
the northerly line of Sixth Street to the Westerly line of
Orange Avenue;
Thence southerly along the westerly line of Orange
Avenue to a point 120 feet south of the southerly line of
Sixth Street;
Thence westerly parallel with and 120 feet south of
the southerly line of Sixth Street to a point 160 feet east of the
easterly line of California Avenue;
Thence southerly parallel with and 160 feet east of
the easterly line of California Avenue to the northerly line
of Fifth Street;
Thence westerly along the northerly line of Fifth
Street to the easterly line of California Avenue;
Thence northwesterly to a point on the westerly line
of Grace Avenue 150 feet south of the southerly line of Fifth
Street;
Thence northwesterly parallel with and 150 feet south
of the Southerly line of West Fifth Street to the easterly
line of Wellwood Avenue;
Thence northerly along the easterly line of Wellwood
Avenue to the point of beginning.

ZONE 2 shall incluse that area bounded and
described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the westerly line of
Wellwood Avenue 150 feet north of the northerly line of
Sixth Street;
Thence westerly parallel with and 150 feet north of the
northerly line of Sixth Street to a point on thesoutherly
line of Eightih Street;
Thence along the southerly line of Eighth Street to
the westerly boundary line of the City of Beaumont;
Thence southerly along the westerly boundary line of the
City of Beaumont to a point 150 feet south of the southerly line
of Wect 5th Street;
Thence easterly parallel with and 150 feet south
of the Southerly line of "est Fifth Street to a point on the
westerly line of Wellwo od Avenue;
Thence northerly along the westerly line of Wellwood
Avenue to the point of beginning;
And the area 120 feet in depth on each side of Sixth
Street from Orange Avenue to the easterly boundary line
of the City of Beaumont.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
once in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation
1..rintea and published in the City of Beaumont, and thirty
days after adoption it shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted the 2 8_ day of 1941.
