ORDINANCE NO 4,.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO 9 OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOP THE LICENSING OF DOGS IN THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT".
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 1 of OrdAp.nce No. 9 of the
City of Beaumont, adopted February 14 1913, entitled "AN
ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF DOGS IN THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT", be and it is hereby amended to provide as
follows, to wit:
"Section 1. That every owner, possessor, or any person
who owns, keeps, has possession, charge or control cf any dog
within the corporate 1 imit a of the City of Beaumont, shall
annually and within thirty days after the first day of April
of each year, pay to the City Clerk the sum of One Dollar
for every male dog or spayed female dog, and the sum of Two
Dollars for every unspayed female dog, and cause such dog to
be registered in the office of the City Clerk, in a book to
be kept for that purpose; and also to obtain from said City
Clerk the metal tag hereafter provided for. Such license
shall be for the period to the next succeeding April lat.
Ail such l icensea shall terminate on. April 1st of each year.
The rate shall be the same to the next succeeding April 1st
irreapective cf what month such licence is Obtained in."
