AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF B1 U;4 Oi' T . AKiING IT UNLAWFUL
FOR UNAUTROhIZED PE-tSONS TO CONNECT OR DILCONI1ECT GAS SERVICE.
TEE CITY COUNCIL OF TYKE CITY OF BEkW ONT LO:b FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation,
excepting an authorized agent or employee of a person, firm or corp-
oration engaLed in the business of furniel,Ing or suDplyin; &as and whose
service pipes sup)ly o connect with the particular pren.ises, to turn
on or reconnect ga:`= service in o: on any premises where and when gas
service inot at the time beim; rendered.
ECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misderceanor, and
upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed ;300.00
or by imprisonment in the City or County jail for a period of not to
exceed ninety (90) days, o both such fine and imporisonment.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of tis
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Beaumont iazette, a newspaper or general circultion, printed, pub-
lished and circulated in the City of Beaumont, and thirty (3C) days
after its adoption, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect.
