AN ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE UNIFORM ELECTRICAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF BET UNT, CALIFORNIA, CREATING THE O1ICE a
ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR, PRESCRIBING HIS DUTIES AND AUTHORITY;

IONS AND FIXING IHE FEES THEREFOR; REGULATING T 1E INSTATTATION,
ARRANGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MAINTENANCE AND a?FRATIEN OF
ELECTRIC WIRING, ELECTRIC FIXTURES, AND OTHER ELECTRICAL
APPLIANCES AND EQUIPMENT; PROVIDI- G A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF
THE SAME; REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 143 AND ALL OTHER ORD-
inances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith, and
ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THAT CERTAIN PRINTED ELECTRICAL CODE
PRINTED IN BOOK FORM ENTITLED "UNIFOR1'w2 ELECTRICAL CODE", PUB-
LISHED BY THE PACIFIC COAST ELECTRICAL BUREAU, THREE COPIES OF
WHICH ARE CN FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FOR USE AND
EXAMINATION BY THE PUBLIC.
The City Council of the City of Beaumont does ordain
as follows:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
190 of 1927 Statutes of the State of California, those certain
documents in book form, entitled "Uniform Electrical Code", 1947
Edition, published by the Pacific Coast Electrical Bureau, and
"National Electrical Code", 1947 Edition, published by the Nat-
ional Board ofFire Underwriters, three copies of each of which
are ,.-low on file in the office of the City clerk of the City
of Beaumont are hereby adopted and enacted by the City Council
of the Ciuy of Beaumont as the Electrical Code of the City of
Beaumont.
SECTION TAD: That Ordinance No. 143 of the City of
Beaumont and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed..

SECTION THREE: That the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
as required by law.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this l2thday of
January 1949 .
