AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMOID'T, CALIFORNIA REGULATING
THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, USE, I STALLATION, MAINTENANCE TENANC.E A1vD
LOCATION OF CO. 'TAI?LRS FOR GASOLINE ON PRTE. ISES OF PRIVATE
AND
PER " ONS/TO BE USED FOR NON -COT S ERC IAL PURPOSES.
BE IL ORDAINED by the Citr Qo$ncil of the City of Beaumont,
as follows, to -wit:
Section 1. The provisions of this Ordinance shall
apply to all zones as established by Ordinance No. 226 ,
commonly referred to as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Beaumont", save and except that certain zone therein designated
as the Agricultural Zone.
Section 2. No gasoline shall be stored on premises of
any person, firm or corporation for non-commercial use unless
containers of such gasoline shall be located more than 10 feet
from any lot line, driveway, structure or building on said
premises and more than 25 feet from any incinerator or other
container used for the purpose of burning trash, refuse or other
inflammable material.
Section 3. Those orders No. 2000 to 2052 inclusive of the
Division of Industrial Safety DeiJortment of Inudstrial Relations
of the State of California, three copies of which are cn file
in the office of the City Clerk of the Cit;r of Beaumont, Calif-
ornia, are hereb-r referred to, adopted and rade a part hereof as
fully set forth in this Ordinance.
Section 4. The capacit-- of such container shall not
exceed 500 gallons.
Section 5. Anything herein to the contrary notwithstanding
no person, form or corporation shall be permitted to install such
container as aforesaid until and unless he or it shall have first
submitted a plan acceptable in form and content to the Building

Inspector and the Fire Chief of the City of Beaumont. Such
plan shall contain the address, location of the lot, size of
the container, owner (if other than the possessor) of the
land, to cationof contai er on lot and such other and further
information as shall be deemed necessary by said Building
inspector and Fire Chill.
Seol± n 6. A fee of 42.00 shall be charged by said Buildin
Inspector as and for aninspection charge, together with such othe
and further fees as shall be necessary and proper for a permit
to install such container.
Section 7. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable
by a fine of not more than $300.00 or by imprisonment in the Coun
Jail for a period of not _:ore than 90 days or by both such
fine`and i prisonment. Each such Pierson, firm or corporation shal
be deemed guilty of a separate offense for every day during
any portion of which any violation of any provision of this
ordinance is committed, continued or permitted by such person,
firm, or corporation and shall be punishable therefor as provided
for in this ordinance.
