RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT IN
APPRECIATION OF SENATOR ALFRED ALQUIST FOR
HIS CONTINUING SUPPORT OF THE MIDPENINSULA
REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT AND OF PARKS AND
OPEN SPACE IN CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Senator Alfred Alquist successfully carried
Senate Bill 1596, sponsored by the Midpeninsula Regional
Open Space District, through the legislative process and
signature by the Governor; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1596 will eliminate virtually
useless effort and expense in publication of audits for this
and other regional park and open space districts; and
WHEREAS, Senator Alquist has a long-standing record of
support of the program of the Midpeninsula Regional Open
Space District, and of parks and open space in California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District
does convey its great appreciation to Senator Alquist and
does express its wishes for a continuing successful and
satisfying legislative career.
