HomeMy Public PortalAbout1999-07 Authorizing to negotiate a proposed contract concerning the acquisition of approximately two acres of land at 560 CrandoRESOLUTION NO. 99-7 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER AND VILLAGE ATTORNEY TO NEGOTIATE A PROPOSED CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE AND SALE BETWEEN THE VILLAGE AND THE ESTATE AND TRUST OF C.G. "BEBE" REBOZO, CONCERNING THE ACQUISITION OF APPROXIMATELY TWO ACRES OF LAND AT 560 CRANDON BOULEVARD BY THE VILLAGE; REQUIRING SUBMITTAL OF PROPOSED CONTRACT TO VILLAGE COUNCIL; PROVIDING EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Estate and Trust of C.G. "Bebe" Rebozo (the "Estate") has offered to sell approximately two acres of land (the "Land") located at 560 Crandon Boulevard to the Village, to be utilized for Village purposes; and WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that the acquisition of such Land would be in the best interest of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Village Manager and Village Attorney, in their respective capacities, are hereby authorized to negotiate a proposed Contract for Purchase and Sale (the "Contract") for the acquisition of the Land from the Estate and to present such proposed Contract to the Village Council for its consideration. Section 2. That the Village Manager is authorized to take all action necessary to implement the purposes of this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
