AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE ACCEPTANCE AND APPROPRIATION OF
A GRANT FROM THE UNITED WAY OF WHITEWATER VALLEY
WHEREAS, the Widowed Persons Service provides services for widowed persons
throughout the City of Richmond; and
WHEREAS, the Widowed Persons Service has applied to the United Way of Whitewater
Valley for a grant to assist with operational expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The Widowed Persons Service is hereby authorized to accept grant funding in the
amount of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) from the United Way of Whitewater Valley.
Said funds shall be appropriated for operational expenses for the Widowed Persons
Service.

This ordinance relates to amending the zoning map located west of and along Salisbury Road and
south of SR 38 as A- I Agricultural district to C-4 Special Use for a mobile home park.
The ordinance should be referred to Plan Commision for public hearing at its meeting on October
23, 1997.
The ordinance should be back to Council for second reading on November 3, 1997.
