A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING A FOR FY21 BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE AGNES
AVENUE STREET, WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
(4011.68.087) BY REDUCING THE LUA 2020 A REVENUE BOND (FUND
6305) BY $370,000 AND ALLOCATING $370,000 FROM SB 1 (FUND
2121) TO APPROPRIATELY CHARGE FOR THE STREET
IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, on,July 7, 2020, the City Council awarded the construction contract
for the Agnes Avenue Street, Water and Sewer Improvement Project (CIP 4011.68.087);
and
WHEREAS, the Council adopted a project budget of $3,730,639 using CDBG
Funds, Sewer Fund, Water Bond and Measure M Bonds; and
WHEREAS, the Agnes Avenue Street, Water, and Sewer Improvements Project
consists of partial removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, curb/gutter, driveways
and curb ramps; removal and reconstruction of portions of street sections exhibiting signs
of base failure; removal and replacement of portions of native soil as needed; grind and
overlay with new asphalt the entire street section; adjustment to grade all storm
drain/sewer/utility maintenance hole covers; adjustment to grade all water valve can and
covers; provision of all traffic striping, markings, curb painting, house addresses and
signage. Project also includes water and sewer repairs consisting of removal and
installation of new water main, resilient-wedge valves, service line, water meters, and
removal/construction of sewer main and sewer laterals; and
• WHEREAS, the project limits are Agnes Avenue from Bullis Road to Atlantic
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, there expenditure for the street improvement portion of the Project is
more than what was budgeted; and
WHEREAS, to appropriately charge non-utility funds for street improvements,
appropriation from SB1 Fund (Fund 2121) is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves to amend the FY21 Budget for the
Agnes Avenue Street, Water and Sewer Improvement Project (CIP 4011.68.087).
Section 2. That the City Council approves the following budget amendment and
appropriation:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
