A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ACCEPTING THE LILITA STREET AND EVE AVENUE STREET AND
WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP NO. 4011.68.089) AS
COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE NOTICE OF
COMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER'S
OFFICE AND THE RELEASE OF THE 5% RETENTION 35 DAYS AFTER
THE RECORDATION
WHEREAS, on October 6, 2020, the City awarded the contract to the lowest
responsible bidder, All Cities Engineering Inc., in the amount of $913,525, for the
construction of the Lilita Street and Eve Avenue Street and Water Improvement Project
(Project); and
WHEREAS, the construction Project which started on November 9, 2020 was
completed on February 17, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the final construction payment to All Cities Engineering is
$1,007,799.68, which includes four (4) contract change orders in the total amount of
$146,108.18 as listed below:
Contract Change Order No. 1; Remove and trim Trees: $16,500.00
Contract Change Order No. 2; Relocate Sewer Tees, readjust
construction forms, and place new water service: $32,806.30,
Contract Change Order No. 3; Strom Drain Chamber redesign: $34,979.13
Contract Change Order No. 4; Replacement of Bid Item No. 34,
Labor and material to remove obstructions from Private Properties: $61,822.75
WHEREAS, the Project limits are Lilita Street from Bullis Road to Eve Avenue and
Eve Avenue from Lilita Street to Lyndora Street; and
WHEREAS, staff conducted the final inspection on February 24, 2021 and found
that all work was completed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Lilita Street
and Eve Avenue Street and Water Improvement Project (CIP No. 4011.68.089) as
complete in accordance with contract documents and authorizes the Director of Public

Works or his designee to process the recordation of the Notice of Completion and
authorizes the release of the 5% retention 35 days after the recordation.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of July 2021.
