5 CALIFORNIA, DOLS ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS, TO

7 SECTION I
8 That Section 2 of Ordinance 240 nf the City of
Beaumont be, and the same is hereby, supplemented to
9 read as follows, to wit:
10 Every person engaed in the business of inspect-
ing poultry to be sold to the public shall pay a
11 license fee of '`.12.00 per annum, provided, however,
that the City Council, prior to the issuance of any
12 license hereunder, may require the applicant for
such license to furnish to the City Clerk such evi-
13 dence as to his qualifications to engage in this
business as the City Council may deem advisable.

SECTION II

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
16 this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be pub-
lished in The Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of
17 general circulation, printed and published in the
City of Beaumont.
