AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGE-
MENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, CONVERSION, DEMO-
LITION, OCCUPANCY, E UIPMENT, U E, HEIGHT, AREA AND MAINTENANCE
OF BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTUES IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: PROVIDING
FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFOR;
DECLARING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE DISTRICTS; PROVIDING PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; IND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
California as follows:
Section 1. That a certain document, three copies of which
are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Beaumont, being marked and designated as the ''UNIFORM BUILDING
CODE, 1952 EDITION Volume 1, by the Pacific Coast Building
Officials Conference", be and the same is hereby adopted as the
building code of the City of Beaumont for the regulating,
erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving,
removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use,
height, area and maintenance of buildings or structures in the
City of Beaumont; providing for the issuance of permits and
collection of fees therefor; declaring and establishing fire
districts; providing penalties for the violation thereof; and
each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions
and terms of such UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1952 EDITION, e'U:bLISHED
by the Pacific Coast Building Officials' Conference on file as
aforesaid, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof
as if fully set out in this ordinance.
Section 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
once in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City of Beaumont, and thirty days
after adoption it shall be in full force and effect.
