FLICT HEREWITH.

The City of Beaumont does ordain as follows:
1). That prior to issuance of building permit by the Building Inspector of
the City of Beaumont for placing or building upon any unimproved property abutting
on a public street in the City of Beaumont, the applicant for such building permit
or the owner of said property shall comply with the provisions hereof. Prior to the
issuance of a building permit by the Building Department said lot rust have boundary
stakes placed by a licensed surveyor.
2). Such applicant or owner shall install and construct concrete curbs and
gutters on the proximate side of each public street upon which said lot abutts
parallel to the property along the curb line according to the determination of the
City Engineer. Such curbs and gutters to meet the specifications as established
by the City Council. Elevations for curbs and gutters to be given by the City
Engineer of Beaumont.
3). Said applicant shall deposit with City Clerk a bond (or cash in the
amount of the bond, or in lieu of the bond) in such amount as the City Engineer
shall determine as the estimated cost of such installation of such curbs and gutters
with authority to the City of Beaumont to install such curbs and gutters, if the
applicant fails to so install within a reasonable time after the completion of the
construction contemplated'on said lot. In the event that. applicant shall install
such curbs and gutters, the City Clerk shall return the bond or refund the deposit
so made, upon approval of such curbs and gutters by the Building Inspector.
!i). All provisions in Ordinance 282 or parts thereof in conflict herewith,
are hereby repealed.

5). A copy of this addition to Ordinance 282 shall be published once in
the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City
of Beaumont, County of Riverside, State of California.

that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 301 of the City of Beaumont,
was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, duly held on tie 10th day of September, 1958, and that the same was
duly passed and adopted at the regular meetin7 of said City Council duly held
on the 24 = day of September, 1958, by the following vote:
