AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DESIGNATING
THE INTERSECTION OF BEAUMONT AVENUE AND THE
SOUTHERN PACIFIC CROSSING NO. B-562.4 AS A
"BOULEVARD STOP" INTERSECTION,
The City Council of the City of Beaumont does ordain as
follows:
Section 1: The intersection of Beaumont Avenue and the
Southern Pacific Crossing No. B-562.4 in the City of Beaumont is
hereby declared and designated to be a "Boulevard Stop" inter-
section, and all vehicles are required to come to a stop before
entering said intersection.
Section 2: It is hereby authorized and directed that there
be erected on the right hand side on Beaumont Avenue, both south
and north of said intersection, a "Boulevard Stop" sign of the
type, lettering and dimensions as required by the Vehicle Code
of the State of California, and at the height provided by the
laws of the State of California.
Section 3: It shall be unlawful for any vehicle to enter
said intersection without first coming to a full stop.
Section 4: The violation of any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed and is hereby made a misdemeanor and
shall be punished by a fine or not more than $50.00, or imprison-
ment in the City Jail for not more than thirty (30) days, or by
both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in
the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Beaumont, and thirty (30)
days after its adoption it shall be in full force and effect.
