AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"ANNEXATION NO. 8."
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of May, 1961, the City Council
adopted its Resolution No. 15b2 giving notice of the proposal t
annex certain uninhabited territory pursuant to the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, designated as "Annexation No.
8"; and
WHEREAS, said resolution contained a notice of the day,
hour and place when and where the Council ot the City would hear
any protests made by any person owning real property within the
territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of June, 1961, at the hour of
7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Beaumont, County of Riverside, State of California, said time and
place being the day, hour and place fixed in said resolution for
hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council
did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annex-
ation and did determine that protests had not been made by the
owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory
proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment
roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicl
owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said
legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City ot
Beaumont, and is uninhabited territory in the County of
Riverside;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Beaumont DOES ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. This City Council does hereby approve
and order the annexation of the territory hereinafter described

to the City of Beaumont.
Section 2. Said territory is more particularly describe
as follows:
All that portion of the northwest one-quarter of
Section 9, T3S, R1W, S.S.B.&M., being more par-
ticularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the northwest
one-quarter of said Section 9;
thence northerly along the west line of said north-
west one-quarter to the northwest corner of the
south half of said northwest one-quarter;
thence easterly along the north line of said south
half to a point on said line, said point being
1320 feet west of the east line of said northwest
one-quarter; thence sotitherly along a line parallel
to a distant 1320 feet west of said east line, a
distance of 330 feet;
thence easterly along a line parallel to and distant
330 feet south of the north line of said south half,
a distance of 1320 feet to a point on the east line
of said northwest one-quarter, said east line being
also the west city limits line of the City of
Beaumont; thence southerly along the east line of
said northwest one-quarter and said west city limits
line, to the southeast corner thereof;
thence westerly along the south line ot said
northwest one-quarter of said Section 9, to the
point of beginning.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of the Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in/the City of Beaumont, and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days
after its adoption.

TO THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA:
You are hereby notified by the undersigned City Clerk
of the City of Beaumont as follows:
That on the 26th day of June, 1961, the City Council of
the City of Beaumont, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, adopted its Ordinance No. 332, changing
the boundaries of the City by annexing thereto certain territory.
That thereafter the said Ordinance became effective on
, 1961.
That a description of the boundaries and a map of the
territory so annexed to said city is ATTACHED hereto.

AFFIDAVIT OF COMPLETION OF ANNEXATION
STATE OF CALIFORNIA)

COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE)
BERNICE CONINE, being first duly sworn, deposes and
says:
That she is now and at all times herein mentioned was
the duly elected, qualified, and acting Clerk of the City of
Beaumont.
That pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939 and Ordinance No. 332, adopted on the 26th day of
June, 1961, said City annexed thereto certain territory.
A certified copy of the boundary description as set
forth in said proceedings and map delineating the boundary are
attached hereto and accompany this affidavit.
