AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO, 311 OF THE CITY OF BEAUMOWT, TO PROVIDE FOR THE
ADOPTION BY REFEREI{CE OF THE'WESTERN PLUMBING OFFICIALS UNIFORM
PLUMBING CODE, 1961 EDITION" AS THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, ANI) PROVIDING PEI\ALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION
THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Beaumont, California, does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 311 of the City of Beaumont, and all other
ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 2. (A) ADOPTION OF PLUMIBING CODE. The Western Plumbing
Officials Uniform Plumbing Code, 1961 Edition, is adopted as the plumbing
code of the City of Beaumont, providing for the protection of the public
health and safety, requiring a permit and inspection for the installation,
alteration or repair of plumbing and drainage system and the inspection
thereof.
Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions
and terms of such Western Plumbing Official Uniform Plumbing Code, 1961
Edition, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as though
fully set forth herein, EXCEPTING Part II thereof,
(B) COPIES TO BE ON FILE. Three copies of the Plumbing
Code adopted by the preceding section shall be kept permanently on file in
the office of the City Clerk.
(0) Penalties. Any person, firm or corporation
violating any of the provisions of the Code so adopted in Section 2 (A)
hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof,
shall be punishable by a fine of not more than 4500.00 or by imprisonment
in the City Jail for a period of not more than six months, or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the Beaumont
Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in the City of Beaumont, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect thirty days after its adoption.

introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 28th day of May 1962,
and that the same was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting
held on the 25th. day of June 1962, by the
