Committee Members Present: Irwin Mulnick, Forest Stanley, Matt Linde, Brigid Lawrence
Staff Member Present: Kurt Wolf
Welcome- Meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM.
Public Comment- No Public Comment
Agenda Review & Updates- Nothing was added to the agenda.
Introduction of Guests: No Guests
Review minutes from previous meeting: Minutes were reviewed approved following a correction to the spelling of Forrest name.
lwrin made motion and Bridgid second — all were in favor.
Business:
1. Rotary Park Construction (Update): Kurt Wolf gave overview of project completion and list of punch list items to address
this fall.
2. New Play Structure at Brown Park (Update). Discussion on P&Z hearing and community garden issues. Update on status of
playground design and construction.
3. Summer programs overview: Committee discussed numbers and overall outcome. Forrest gave a quick overview of the
soccer programs and plans for next summer. Discussion on how to grow Mile High Mile swim event.
4. Fall/Winter activity guide: Committee reviewed and discussed. Found typo on Re -Mastered race event and staff will correct.
5. 4th ofJuly Overview: Kurt Wolf gave committee an overview discussed what worked well and what changes will be made for
2018. Appreciation for the volunteers and scout troops was also discussed.
6. Staffing Discussion: Kurt gave update on the hiring process for a new Parks Superintendent. Committee discussed how to
better recruit seasonal help.
7. Annual Report To Council: Committee reviewed draft annual report to council and discussed presentation of report.
8. Dock Debris and Cleanup Efforts North of Marina: Kurt informed committee of efforts and progress to clean up the area
and mitigate the issue to ensure it remains clean and usable moving forward. Discussed a community volunteer cleanup
day in October.
9. Member Status: Brief discussion on term status of committee members and getting Laural Crawford as a high school
representative.
