List of programs offered: Youth: Soccer Camp, Wee Soccer League, Softball, Baseball, Skateboarding, Swim Lessons, Teambuilding/Outdoor Games(MOSS partnership), Snowshoeing, Nordic, Mountain Biking, Tennis, Snorkel, Volleyball, Wrestling, Football Camp(X-fit partnership), Football Conditioning(X-Fit partnership), fall soccer, soccer skill development, tee -ball. Adult: Beginning Fly Tying, Indoor Volleyball, Softball, Digital Photo Contest, Indoor Soccer, CPR & AED training (City Employees), ASA Umpire Clinic 2. Special Events and Partnerships: a) Mile High Mile Swim b) Mtn. Madness Youth Softball Tournament 36 teams c) X — Fit in the Parks d) Senior Softball Tournament (Sept) e) Two pitch softball tourney MOSS g) Bike Rodeo h) Many Community events took place in our parks; Triathlon, Paddle Board Races, Concerts, Fireworks, Winter Carnival, etc... i) Dive Event/Cleanup (Sept) 410 j) Optimist Club- wrestling k) Elementary/MDHS biological control of knapweed 3. Staffing: iblv 1. Dennis Coyle (P&R Director), Kurt Wolf (Parks) and Mark Pernell (Rec) 2. Employee vacancy filled by Todd Wheaton P and R employees currently staff three committees, P&R, Tree Committee, and Environmental Advisory. Staff also attends the MRA, MIC, Public Art and Valley County Waterways There are nine seasonal positions 4.2015 Park Projects 1. Turf improvements at Legacy Park and Art Roberts. 2. Improvements at Rotary Park - retaining wall, pathways, irrigation system and storm water drainage. Contractor beginning repairs. 3. Senior project to provide erosion control, parking and install amenities at Riverfront Park. 4. City parks turf and irrigation systems all improved. 5. Gold Glove Park 6. Centennial Park — under construction 7. River access design underway. Permission to be granted by the Lake Reservoir Company. 8. Boat ramp reconstruction beginning, complete in 2016 9. Shade sails at Brown park 5. Planned For 2016 1. New site furniture in parks 2. Continue the redevelopment of Gold Glove Park 3. Continue to promote integrated noxious weed control 4. Increase revenue generation 5. Continue to improve grounds/turf management and reduce reliance on chemical fertilizer 6. Increase flower and ornamental plantings, solicit sponsorships 7. Repair erosion damage at Brown Park 8. Boat Ramp replacement 9. Complete the rehab of Rotary Park 10.
