Minutes 2/1/2017
Called to order: 10:14 AM
Attendance: Bill Thomas, Jacki Rubin, Heather Haynes, Larry Swan, Lynn Lewinski,
Andy Laidlaw, Linda Burns, Meg Lojek
Approval of minutes from 1/18/17 and 1/25/17 (2): motioned by Heather, approved by
Bill. All in favor.
Discussion: each member discussed pro's and con's of fundraising coordinator
applications. Reference checks were shared by Meg. Disappointed to not have
references for one applicant.

Beth Markley- 416/500
Amy Rush and Kathy Belknap - 374/500
Bill made a motion to: recommend to the Library Board of Trustees that we enter
contract negotiations with Beth Markley as a fundraising consultant to plan our capital
campaign, and also recommend to the Board hiring a local support staff as our
Coordinator to help carry out the campaign and provide administrative duties in
relationship to the capital campaign, as the need was identified in Beth's proposal. Andy
2nd, All in favor.
Lynn mentioned expanding this committee or somehow gathering more forces once we
have Fundraising Coordinator/s hired.
