A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE,
FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO
SPEND FEDERAL ASSET SHARING REVENUE FROM THE
U.S. CUSTOMS DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE AN
ADDITIONAL UNMARKED VEHICLE FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Police Department just received in excess of $253,000 from the "Asset
Sharing" from the U.S. Treasury Department, Customs Bureau; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for an additional unmarked vehicle for the Police Department
for the use of the detectives in order to conduct their appointments and investigations in a more
timely and efficient manner; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to purchase one (1) unmarked
vehicle for the Police Department in the amount of $25,000.
Section 2. That the vehicle shall be charged to the asset sharing fund.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of April , 1999.
