An Ordinance amending the Watertown Noise Control Ordinance,
Chapter VIII, Section 32.
Whereas, the Town Council of the Town of Watertown has enacted an
Ordinance regulating loud, unnecessary or unusual noises within
the limits of the Town of Watertown, for the purpose of securing
and promoting the public health, comfort, convenience, safety,
welfare, prosperity and peace and quiet of the Town and its
inhabitants; and,
Whereas, the Town Council has determined that it is in the public
interest to provide for additional hours of noise restriction on
Saturday and Sunday to afford the inhabitants of the Town
additional peace and quiet in the morning hours of such days;
Now, Therefore be it ordained by the Town Council of Watertown
that the Ordinance is hereby amended as follows:
1 - Chapter VIII, Section 32, is amended by deleting in its
entirety section 4.c. relative to devices employed in
construction or demolition, and inserting in its place the
following:
c. All devices employed in construction or demolition shall be
prohibited from use during the hours of 7:00pm to 7:00am from
Monday through Friday throughout the year and between the hours
of 7:OOpm on Fridays, and 8:00am on Saturdays; and 7:00pm on
Saturdays and 8:OOam on Sundays throughout the year.

I hereby certify that at a regular meeting of the Town Council
for which a quorum was resent, the above Ordinance was adopted
by a vote of 9 for, against and 0 present on March 12, 1996.
