MEDINA CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF MARCH 1, 2011
The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on March 1, 2011 at 6:02
p.m. at the Medina City Hall, 2052 County Road 24, Medina, MN.
I. Call to Order
Members present: Pederson, Weir, Crosby, Siitari, Martinson
Members absent:
Also present: City Administrator Chad M. Adams, City Planner Dusty Finke,
City Attorney Ron Batty, and Legal Counsel George Hoff and Kim Kozar with Hoff,
Barry and Kozar, P.A.
II. Attorney Client Privilege to Discuss Pending Litigation
City Attorney Batty advised the Council may enter closed session as allowed by State
Statute for Attorney -Client Privilege to discuss the pending litigation Woodridge Church
v. City of Medina. He recommended that Mayor Crosby, Councilmembers Pederson,
Weir, Siitari, and Martinson, City Attorney Batty, City Administrator Adams, City
Planner Finke, and Legal Counsel Hoff and Kozar enter into closed session to discuss the
pending litigation.
Weir moved, Pederson seconded, to enter into closed session to discuss pending litigation
under Attorney -Client Privilege at 6: 03 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
The Council reconvened into open session at 6:58 p.m.
III. Adjournment
Weir moved, Pederson seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 6:59 p.m. Motion passed
Unanimously.
