A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO WILLIAM
F. KOCH JR. FROM THE TOWN COMMISSION
OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM
WHEREAS, William F. Koch, Jr. has served as Mayor for
the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, for 35 years, from 1966 to
present; one of the longest mayoral tenures in Palm Beach
County; and
WHEREAS, he has provided dedicated, judicious, balanced
and informed service during these past 35 years; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Koch's fiscal responsibility, honesty,
practicality, and no nonsense approach to all matters is always
appreciated by fellow Commissioners and staff; and
WHEREAS, he also has been a mainstay at institutions of
County importance, including Bethesda Hospital, Community
Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin County, Palm Beach County
Zoning Commission, and Sun Trust Bank Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Koch is responsive and straightforward in
his approach to community requests and concerns; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Koch presides over Commission meetings
with a hand on the gavel, an eye on the clock, and a focus on
the bottom line; and
WHEREAS, he and his family have been valued residents of
the Town for over fifty years; and
WHEREAS, his innumerable contributions to the Town will
have long -term benefits for the community; and
WHEREAS, the extraordinary beauty of the Town and its
fiscal soundness are his legacy.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF
THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as
follows:
THAT THIS RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
BE EXTENDED TO WILLIAM F. KOCH, JR.
FOR HIS DEDICATION AND DEVOTED
SERVICES TO HIS COMMUNITY.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November 2001.
