A Special Meeting of Council was held this evening at
7:30 p.m., in City Hall for the purpose of accepting the
resignation of Mr. Bart Shea as Recorder and City Attorney
and appointing a new Recorder and City Attorney.
The meeting was presided over by Mayor Allen Hendrix and
a quorum of the following. Councilmen was present: Edward Towns,
Ernest Hosti, Walter Parker, Earl Anderson and Edward Jung.
Councilman Perry A. Zittrauer, Jr., was absent.
Mayor Hendrix informed Council that he had received a letter
of resignation from Recorder and City Attorney Bart Shea,
effective immediately. This letter was dated April 2, 1973. He
also read another letter from Mr. Shea dated March 30, 1973, with
a copy to all Councilmen, in which Mr. Shea submits his resignation
April 30, 1973. Mayor Hendrix explained why two letters were
written.
Mayor Hendrix then announced to Council that he was
appointing Mr. Fred Clark as Recorder and City Attorney. Council
unanimously approved the Mayor's appointment of Mr. Clark as
the new Recorder and City Attorney.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
to the next regular or Special Called Meeting.
