HomeMy Public PortalAboutTBM 1998-02-11TOWN BOARD SPECIAL MEETING FEB. 11, 1998 The special meeting was called to order at 7 :30 p.m. Board present were Mayor Johnston, Klancke, Havens and Swatzell. Staff present were Reid, Trotter, Winter, Tucker and Stone. ORDINANCE 237 BALLOT QUESTIONS FOR PAVING PROJECT Reid briefly reviewed the drainage and paving project that the ballot questions will allow to happen should the voters approve this at the April 7th election. Reid also stated that the Town had mailed letter to the business community to make them aware of the project and the funding measures that are being set for the election. Audience was asked if they had any questions or wanted additional information and brief discussion followed. Havens made a motion to approve Ordinance 237 setting the ballot questions for the street improvements projects, 2nd Swatzell, carried, all members voting aye. Havens made a motion that the Fraser Town Board certifies the election questions as stated in Ordinance 237 and that the Town Clerk take the necessary steps to place this issue on the April 7, 1998 ballot, 2nd Klancke, carried. Reid discussed having a parade for Liz McIntyre. Board agreed. Swatzell voiced concern that the Safeway pharmacy will force the Fraser Drug to go out of business. No further business, meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
