Jones Clerk- Treasurer GREEN'CASTLE BOARD OF WORKS SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY, JUNE 4. 1996 12:30 p.m. STREET DEPARTMENT Call to Order; Roll Call The Greencastle Board of Works met in Special Session on June 4, 1996 at 1 2:30 p.m. at the City Street Department. Mavor Michael called the meeting to order. On the Roll Call, the following were found to be present: Sue Murrav and George Murphey. City Attornev John Zeiner was also present. Approval of Minutes Minutes of the May 22, 1996 Regular Meeting were approved as presented on a motion by Sue Murray, seconded by Georg =e Murphey. Vote was unanimous. 0 General Business City Engineer Chris Barnes presented Change Order - 41, Greencastle Water Utility Improvements Division "A" - Water Treatment Facility. George Murphey recommended dc!eting items 97 (Extend Drain Tile from South Side of Red Water Lagoon to Drainage Swale - mc!udes inlet stricture} and # 14 (Add carpet to rooms 102 &103, and Tile to room 104). Mr. Murphey stated that in 47 they are mixing storm sewer design with drainage. This need to be taken all the way to Big Walnut_ This was not in the original contract, Mr. Murphey continued, and suggested that �7 be taken out and looked at at a later date. Nlr. Murphey suggested that 9 l4 also be deleted and have this done locally instead of giving the profits to others. Engineer Barnes told the Board that they have looked at several different options. Mr. Murphev suggested putting in a Swale right now and look at tile later. Engineer Barnes agreed to delete =7 and look into the options to bring to the Board at a later date. Discussion regarding 014 ensued with George Murphey recommending that this be deleted altogether and do locally. Superintendent Leon Phillips stated that #2 (Mandatory Bid Alternate #7 - install one existing pump in new facility) concerned him. Does it cost S 10,000.00 to move a pump from existing facility to new facility'? Engineer Barnes stated that this is something that has to be done. They don't know if the existing valve would be worth using. George Murphey made the motion to accept the Change Order with the deletion of 47 and 914, bringing the change order total from S to 544,107.00 (deleting S8,730.00). Sue Murray seconded the motion, vote was unanimous. Interlocal Agreement Between The City of Greencastle And The Town offillmore For Waste " Water Treatment was presented to the Board by City Attorney John Zeiner. George Murphey made the motion to table the [nterlocal Agreement due to just receiving a copy, seconded by Sue Murray. Vote was unanimous.
