A request to consider Conditional Use Permit No. 2021-08 for the site is currently the location of Autopro's auto body /paint shop, which consists of two separate buildings, one of which has been destroyed by a fire. The owner desires to reconstruct the facility, which will result in a 2-story 29,418 sq. ft. auto body /paint shop on a 19,850 sq. ft. lot located at 3311 Mulford Ave (approximately a quarter mile north of the 105 Freeway and 100 feet east of Long Beach Blvd.) I. Introductory information relating to Senate Bill 9 On Sept. 16, 2021, Governor Newsom signed into law Senate Bill (SB) 9 that will allow for the ministerial approval of housing development projects — with exceptions — containing up to two dwelling units (i.e., duplexes) on a single-family zoned parcel.
