HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 3511 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 ORDINANCE NO, 351 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 282 REZONING CERTAIN PARCELS OF PROPERTY IN "ANNEXATION N0. 12" FROM R-1 TO R-3, C-1 AND C-2. The City Council of the City of Beaumont does ordain as follows: 1. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Beaumont, that certain property situated in the City of Beaumont, County of Riverside, State of California, being a portion of "Annexation No. 12" and particularly described as follows: Parcel 1: That portion of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the West line of Cherry Avenue and the South right of way line of an easement deeded to Southern California Edison Company, Ltd., a corporation, said deed being recorded March 8, 1946 in Book 716, page 306, Official Records of Riverside County, said point lying 33 feet West of the center line of said Cherry Avenue, said center line of Cherry Avenue being also the East line of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 34; thence West parallel with the South line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, 667 feet; thence South parallel with the East line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 to a point that is 250 feet North of the South line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34; thence West parallel with the South line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 and 250 feet distant therefrom, measured at right angles to said South line, to a point on the West line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34; thence North along the West line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 to a point on the Southerly right of way line of said Southern California Edison Company easement; thence South 82° 48' 25" East along the Southerly line of said easement to the point of beginning, Parcel 2: That portion of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the North line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, said point being 300 feet West of the Northeast corner of the Northwest- 1/4 orthwest1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 34; thence South parallel with the East line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 to the South line of said Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34; thence East along the South line of the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 1.1 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 34, said point lying on the center line of Cherry Avenue; thence South along the center line of said Cherry Avenue to the North line of that certain easement granted to California Electric Company; thence Northwesterly along the Northerly line of that certain 100 foot wide right of way granted to California Electric Company to a point on the West line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34; thence North along the West line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 to the Northwest corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 34; thence East along the North line of said Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING therefrom the North 44 feet lying within 16th Street and the East 33 feet lying within Cherry Avenue, will hereby rezoned from R-1 to R-3. Parcel 3: That portion of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino Vase and Meridian, described as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the prolongation of the center line of Michigan Avenue, extended to the North, said Michigan Avenue being shown by the AMENDED MAP OF THE TOWN OF BEAUMONT as per plat recorded in Book 6 of Maps, pages 16 and 17, records of San Bernardino County, and the North line of 14th Street, said North line being 50 feet North of the South line of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34; thence continuing North along the prolongation of said Michigan Avenue, 200 feet; thence East parallel to the South line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 to a point that is 667 feet West of the West right of way line of Cherry Avenue, said right of way line being 33 feet West of the East line of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 34; thence South parallel with said East line of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, 200 feet to a point on the.North line of aforesaid 14th Street; thence West along the North line of aforesaid 14th Street to the point of beginning, is hereby rezoned from R-1 to C-1. Parcel 4: That portion of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino Vase and Meridian, described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the West line of Cherry AuPnue and the Snuth ri ahfi of wav 1 i ne of an 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 line of Cherry Avenue being also the East line of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 34; thence West parallel with the South line of said South- east 1/4 of Section 34, 667 feet; thence South parallel with the East line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 to a point that is 50 feet North of the South line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34; thence East parallel with the South line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34 and 50 feet distant therefrom, measured at right angles to said South line, to a point on the West line of Cherry Avenue; thence North along the West line of said Cherry Avenue to the paint of beginning, is hereby rezoned from R-1 to C-2. 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, published, printed and circulated in the City of Beaumont, and thirty (30) days after its adoption, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect.
