ORDINANCE NO. 357
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 282 REZONING
CERTAIN PARCELS OF PROPERTY IN "ANNEXATION NO. 12"
FROM R-1 TO R-0 AND FROM R-3 TO C-2.
The City Council of the City of Beaumont does ordain as fol-
lows:
1. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Planning Couuuission
of the City of Beaumont, that certain property situated in the
City of Beaumont, County of Riverside, State of California, being
a portion of "Annexation No. 12" and particularly described as
follows:
That portion of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34,
Township 2 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino
Base and Meridian, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the
prolongation of the West line of Michigan Avenue,
extended to the North, said Michigan Avenue be-
ing shown by the AMENDED MAP OF THE TOWN OF
BEAUMONT, as per plat recorded in Book 6 of
Maps, pages 16 and 17, records of San Bernardino
County, and the North right of way line of 14th
Street, said North right of way line of 14th
Street being 50 feet North of the South line of
said Southeast 1/4 of said Section 34; thence
continuing North along said Northerly prolonga-
tion of the West line of said Michigan Avenue,
70 feet; thence West parallel with the South
line of said Southeast 1/4, 200 feet; thence
South parallel with the Northerly prolongation
of said West line of Michigan Avenue, 70 feet to
a point on the North line of aforesaid 14th
Street; thence West along the Northerly line of
aforesaid 14th Street to a point on the West
line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34; thence
North along the West line of said Southeast 1/4,
200 feet; thence East parallel with the South
line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34, to
an intersection with the Northerly prolongation
of the center line of said Michigan Avenue, as
shown by said AMENDED MAP OF THE TOWN OF BEAU-
MONT; thence South along the Northerly prolonga-
tion of the center line of Michigan Avenue to
a point on the North line of said 14th Street;
thence West al -ng the North line of said 14th
Street _ 40 feet to the nni nt of hep -i nni nsr _
That portion of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 34,
Township 2 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino
Base and Meridian, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the West line
of Cherry Avenue and the South right of way line
of an easement deeded to Southern California
Edison Company, Ltd., a Corporation, said deed
being recorded March 8, 1946 in Book 716, page
306, Official Records of Riverside County, said
point lying 33 feet West of the center line
of said Cherry Avenue, said center line of Cherry
Avenue being also the East line of the Southeast
1/4 of said Section 34; thence West parallel with
the South line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section
34, 667 feet; thence North parallel with the
East line of said Southeast 1/4 of Section 34,
84.95 feet more or less to a point on said South
right of way line of the Southern California
Edison Company easement; thence South 82° 48' 25"
East along the South line of said easement,
671.73 feet to the point of beginning.
is hereby rezoned from R-3 to C-2.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once
in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation,
published, printed and circulated in the City of Beaumont, and
thirty (30) days after Its adoption, this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect.
Introduced at a regular meeting held on January 28, 1964.
Adopted this lith day of February, 1964.

January, 1964, and that the same was duly passed and adopted at
