ORDINANCE NO. 360
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE FIXING OF FEES, CHARGES
AND TAXES FOR LICENSES, PERMITS AND SERVICES BY
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Licenses and Permits are issued by, and certain
services are provided by, the City of Beaumont, for which Fees,
Charges and Taxes are imposed and required to be paid, for the
purposes of raising revenue, providing police regulation and
protecting the public health, safety and welfare.
Section 2. The convenience of the public is best served
by providing for flexible procedures whereby the amounts of
such Fees, Charges and Taxes may beestablished.
Section 3. All such Fees, Charges and Taxes shall be
fixed, regulated and determined by appropriate Resolutions
duly adopted by the City Council.
Section 4. All such Fees, Charges and Taxes are required
to be paid to the City of Beaumont as a condition predecent
to engaging in the regulated activities on which said Fees,
Charges and Taxes are imposed and for which Licenses and
Permits are issued.
Section 5. Any person, form or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a
misdeameanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable
by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment in the
City Jail for a period of not more than six months, or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
Section 6. All ordinances, and parts of ordinances, in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 7. If any part of this Ordinance shall be found,
by due authority,to be in conflict with the legislative authorit
vested in the City of Beaumont, all then remaining portions of
this Ordinance shall nevertheless remain in full force and effec
Section 8. The City Clerk of the City of Beaumont shall
certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the
same to be published once in the Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper
of general circulation and circulated in the City of Beaumont,
and shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its
adoption.

California, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being
Ordinance No. 360 of the City of Beaumont, was introduced and
read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, duly held on the 9th day of February, 1965, and that
the same was duly passed and adopted at the regular meeting of
said City Council duly held on the 23rd day of February, 1965,
by the following vote:
AYES: Council ren Muse, Haskell, Ber , Brazie and Houston.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: 1 one .
