HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 361ORDINANCE NO. 361 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY' OF BEAUMONT, COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING ABANDON. MENT OF VEHICLES; RESTRICTING THE DISPOSITION OR KEEPING OF WRECKED, NON-OPERATING, OR DISCARDED VEHICLES ON STREETS OR PRIVATE PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR IMPOUNDING OF CERTAIN VEHICLES; AND IMPOSING PENALTIES. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: SECTION 1. DEFINITIONS. The following definitions shall apply in the interpretation and enforcement of this Ordinance: (a) "Person" shall mean any person, firs, partnership, associa- Sion, corporation, company, or organisation of any kind. (b) "Vehicle" shall mean a machine propelled by power other than human power designed to travel along the ground by use of wheels, treads, runners, or slides and transport persona or property or pall machinery and shad,], include, withcut limitation, automobile, truck, trailer, motorcycle, tractor, buggy, and wagon. (c) "Street or highway" shall mean the entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maihtained when any part thereof is ol. m. to the uee of the public for purposes of vehicular travel. SECTION 5. IMPOUNDING.
