AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION NO. 13"
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of April, 1965, the City Council
adopted its Resolution No. 1965-9 giving notice of the proposal
to annex certain uninhabited territory pursuant to the Annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, designated as "Annexation
No. 13;" and
WHEREAS, said resolution contained a notice of the day, hour
and place when and where the Council of the City would hear any
protests made by any person owning real property within the ter-
ritory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of May, 1965, at the hour of 7:30
P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Beaumont, County of Riverside, State of California, said time
and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said resolution
for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Coun-
cil did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed
annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by
the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned ter-
ritory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized
assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value
of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as deter-
mined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Beau-
mont, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Riverside;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Beaumont
DOES ORDAIN as follows:
Section 2. Said Territory is more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
?hat portion of Lot 4 of a1ker's Subdivision,
Tract Ivo. 11, as shown on map recorded in
hook 9, Page 71 of Maps, Records of Riverside
County, California ana particularly described
as follows:
beginning at the southeast corner of the south-
west one-quarter of erection 34, T. 2 S., R.I
i.i .M. being a point ori the City of Beaumont
boundary line;
Thence northerly along the east line of said
southwest one-quarter, being said boundary line,
a distance of 299 feet to the northerly li:.e of
that parcel conveyed to the First Southern
Baptist Church by deed recorded May 23, 1958,
in Eiook 2276, Page 64, Official Records of said
County;
Thence westerly along said northerly line, a
distance of 195 feet;
Thence southerly along the westerly line of said
parcel, a distance of 299 feet to the southerly
line of said Section 34;
Thence easterly along said southerly line and
said City boundary line, a distance of 195 feet
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the
Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Beaumont, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its adoption.
